"La mia gita Venezia..."

Ho deciso di raccontare di questa gita a Venezia perchè mi è piaciuta molto e penso che sia piaciuta anche alla mia classe e anche ai miei professori.

Questa gita mi ha fatto fare nuove esperienze, infatti ho visto l'acqua alta e la collezione Peggy Guggenheim.

My trip to the Peggy Guggenheim

The Peggy Guggenheim collection is a modern art museum on the Grand Canal in the Dorsoduro District of Venice, Italy. This museum is housed in the palazzo Venier di Leoni an 18th century palace. The museum was the home of the American heiress Peggy Guggenheim for three decades.

My teachers, my class and I went to Venice to visit the Peggy Guggenheim collection museum. We met at the Treviso train station at 8.30. At 9.00 we arrived at the Venice Station. We walked for 20 minutes to get the museum. Before entering the museum we left our backpacks and we met our guide, who introduced us to the museum and she talked to us in English. The guide introduced us to 8 paintings by European and American artists. The painting I liked most is "Studying for Chimpanzee" by Francis Bacon. The thinks I liked the most were the colors and the drawing of the chimpanzee. At 12.30 we left the museum and before taking the train to go home we stopped to eat sandwiches prepared by  our  mothers.

I liked this trip to Venice very much. It was so beautiful. On that day there was even the "acqua alta", it was an amazing experience.
